The Beano annual sale and identification  guide.  The Beano comics and annuals along with the Dandy comics and annuals formed one of sthe cornerstone of the DC Thomson publication empire in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.  The comics and annuals have been in continuous publication since the 1930s and have produced some of the most popular characters in British comics.

Many of these early annuals are now rarely seen on the market in acceptable grade and we rarely have them in stock.  They are listed here mainly for identification purposes.   If you have an interest in the earlier annuals and want to be informed if any become available then please feel free to drop us a mail with your requirements.  Please indicate some sort of price range and grade range that is acceptable to you.  For those not familiar with annuals (overseas customers possibly) they are usually released in time for the Christmas market and can be on sale as early as maybe July / August of that year.  An annual for 2006 will therefore have a 2005 copyright date on the inside and a 2006 year date on the covers.  The dating system used here indicates the year that the annual covered after the Christmas that it was sold for..
