Cover A scene from "The Elusive Pimpernel" Pages 52 plus covers Condition F-NM. This is a high grade copy of a very scarce magazine. Apart from some minor defects this is about as nice a copy as you will find. This is a mainly black print cover so every small mark shows up and this makes it very difficult to find this issue in this high grade. The main cover area has no creases. There is an old pencil price mark a few mm high on the cover, but this is only visible in certain light conditions. No attempt has been made to remove this as the black ink on the cover would probably rub off too. These early covers were matt finish rather than the slightly later gloss finish and they mark easily. Faults. Some minor "rubbing" to the edges /spine plus some minor creases at edges/spine. A little bit of print loss around staples The staples are starting to rust a little. |
