Please note that as was common with many UK comics that some of these issues have a pencil (sometimes pen ) name  or address on them which is usually on the top front or back cover nargin. This would have been marked on by the original newsagent.

This comic was a typical folded in British comic. As usual there is alittle discolouring to the paper over the years and minor little folds etc to the edges of the paper on some comics. All comics  have all however been stored flat over the years and unless noted otherwise are in VG condition (or slightly better).

Please note that unless stated otherwise that any free gifts advertised with the comics are not there. They are long gone to wherever these items go to.

COVER DATES ON BRITISH COMICS

Please note that the cover dates on British weekly comics (as with most weekly magazines/periodicals) IS USUALLY NOT THE DATE that the comic was for sale on, but the date usually for Saturday at the end of the week of publication. This was done to give newsagents some time to sell the comic before it was out of date. Most British comics state cleary what day they actually went on sale and this can be seen clearly from the scans.  

If you are buying comics for a Birthday or Anniversary gift then it is better to be buying for a specific week rather than an actual date as this in many cases will not be a published date.

ORIGINAL SHOOT MAGAZINE BINDERS

This is a rare chance to purchase ORIGINAL SHOOT MAGAZINE FOLDERS.  These folders are red and embossed on the front and spine with the SHOOT logo and a footballer.  They are designed to hold a half yearly volume of 25/26 issues each.  The magazines are held in place in the binder by a small removable metal wire that clips over the centre pages.  This wire allows safe removal of the magazines.

We currently have FOUR BINDERS for sale.  To purchase binders simply click the buy button once for each binder required.

Some binders have a little wear / lamination peeling at the edges

SHOOT MAGAZINE

We have a hard to find collection in stock of most of the early years of this magazine from the first issue through to 1972 and some later issues up to 1975.

Included in this collection are issues with classic George Best covers and pin up centre pages.

Most of the shoot magazines from 1ssue 1 (1969) through to mid 1972 came in six shoot binders.  We have split the comics and folders up to give as many people as possible a chance to purchase missing issues for their collection.  Please note that the original owner numbered their magazines starting at issue 1 through to about issue 125 on the top of the front cover (usaully in pencil).  In some cases the wire holders of the binder have left some rust marks on the centre pages of the magazines.

As most covers were similar, we have only scanned the earlier or more interesting covers.
