WOMAN MAGAZINE 1968
Out of all the different types of magazines published, household magazines for women probably reflect that period in time better than most other publications. With their usual mix of household, fashion, advertising , letter and lifestyle pages they offer a reflection of that time that few other publications can match.
Many of these magazines had huge weekly (or monthly sales). As they were usually viewed as completely disposable magazines the vast majority were simply thrown away at the end of each week or month. As a result, a small number of these type of magazines have survived over the years.

1. Most older, or higher priced items have been scanned and images provided to view. They also have "Paypal purchase" buttons for quick credit/debit card payment using Paypal/ Paypal shopping cart. 2. Lower value, or more recent items may simply list the item and the price, but have no images or "paypal purchase" buttons. If you want to purchase any of these items simply send an e-mail to us at comicsmagazines@aol.com stating your items of interest. An invoice for the goods will be sent to you via e-mail or Paypal. PAYMENT TERMS. 1. All card payment orders are by PAYPAL using the Paypal shopping cart on this website. You must have your card registered with Paypal to make card payment as we have no direct means of processing your credit/debit card. 2. If you are not registered with Paypal and are U.K. based, then you can still make arrangements to pay by UK cheque. 3. Overseas payments are by PAYPAL only. POSTAGES BASIC U.K. POST AND HANDLING CHARGE IS A FLAT FEE OF £2.95 PER ORDER. OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS WILL STILL BE CHARGED FULL OVERSEAS POSTAGE & HANDLING COSTS, SO PLEASE CHECK WITH US FOR POSTAGE PRICES IF NEEDED BEFORE YOU ORDER, OR ASK FOR POSTS TO BE ADDED TO YOUR ORDER. | Please note that as was common with many UK magazines
that some of these issues have a pencil (sometimes pen ) name or address
on them which is usually on the top front or back cover nargin. This would
have been marked on by the original newsagent.
This magazine was a typical stapled British magazine. As usual there is alittle discolouring to the paper over the years and minor little folds etc to the edges of the paper on some comics. All magazines have all however been stored flat over the years and unless noted otherwise are in VG condition (or slightly better). COVER DATES ON BRITISH MAGAZINES Please note that the cover dates on British weekly magazines(as with most weekly magazines/periodicals) IS USUALLY NOT THE DATE that the comic was for sale on, but the date usually for Saturday at the end of the week of publication. This was done to give newsagents some time to sell the magazine before it was out of date. Most British magazines state cleary what day they actually went on sale and this can be seen clearly from the scans. If you are buying comics for a Birthday or Anniversary gift then it is better to be buying for a specific week rather than an actual date as this in many cases will not be a published date. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNLESS NOTED FREE GIFTS ARE NO LONGER WITH THE MAGAZINE. |
